Baking Biscuits

I love it when someone in your family has a culinary urge. Such happened the other day when my younger sister had a sudden urge to make some biscuits. I was naturally there to help with the important things like eating the uncooked pastry, unused toppings and other such things!

 

Blurred lines

I have come to the conclusion that I like unfocused photographs. Perhaps it is because I have recently acquired a DSLR camera and have never before had the ability to manually change the clarity of an image. Perhaps to other people such photographs appear unskilled and blob-like, but to me it is as if making a painting has been done using the lens as a brush. The first image is undoubtedly the most successful, but I'd be interested to know whether anyone else shares my view on the technique in general?

A Long-Expected Party

  Good food, good company, homemade cushions, lots of bunting and a sleeping dog to warm your toes...what more could you want!?

Many Hands or Too Many Cooks

The whole family was home for what felt like the first time in the summer, and coincidentally it was my parents' Wedding Anniversary, so my brother, my sisters and I made dinner for them. And so serenaded b Josh Groban, we set about making a rather experimental mocha cake!
